Continuous Improvement Engineer
Location: Romeoville, IL (Onsite)
We’re looking for a driven Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer to join our team and help optimize operations through data-driven problem-solving and Lean manufacturing practices. In this role, you’ll be a key player in enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving product quality across our business processes.
What You’ll Do

Identify Opportunities: Analyze business and manufacturing processes to uncover inefficiencies and improvement areas using Lean and 8D problem-solving methodologies.

Lead Problem Solving: Apply and coach disciplined problem-solving approaches, including 8D and 5 Whys, to drive root cause analysis and sustainable solutions.

Train & Coach: Deliver training and mentorship to team members on problem-solving tools and Lean principles, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Monitor & Measure: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate improvement efforts and pinpoint further optimization opportunities.

Drive Projects: Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely results.

Document Processes: Maintain clear, accurate documentation of processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support ongoing improvement efforts.

Analyze Data: Collect and interpret data to guide decision-making and process optimization efforts.

Conduct Kaizen Events: Plan and facilitate Kaizen events focused on operational excellence and closing performance gaps.
What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in manufacturing or a similar environment with strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles.

Proven ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.

Proficiency with data analysis tools and statistical process control techniques.

Experience leading process improvement projects and mentoring others in Lean methodologies.
75-95k plus Bonus. Please note the pay information shown above is a general guideline. Pay is based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.
