This is an opportunity to join a startup company that is getting a lot attention (and funding). Currently, the company is on the cusp of rapid expansion - this role will be oriented towards scaling the process on an aggressive schedule with future full-scale commercialization on the horizon. In the immediate term, this person will support engineering, R&D and operations teams in building out a bigger pilot operation on the current site of the existing pilot facility. This will include managing project schedules, project cost, managing vendors and outside engineering (EPC) resources, and contributing from a technical standpoint in fixed and rotating equipment design, layout and plot planning, structural support and mechanical/piping interconnections. Down the road, this person will be involved in a much larger capital undertaking to build this company's first commercial-scale facility. This is an individual contributor role at this point which will grow as the company continues to grow.

 

The plant site is located in the Western suburbs of Chicago - reasonable cost-of-living and lots of amenities in the area. This area is close to the Fox River which boasts miles and miles of walking/running/cycling trails. The Big City is about 45 minutes' drive or an hour train ride. Two major International airports in the area (O'Hare and Midway).
