JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a research lab investigating the boundaries and capabilities of artificial intelligence through novel datasets and experimentation serving all of the frontier AI labs. The company is Series A, based in San Francisco, and backed by Y Combinator, BoxGroup, ex-partners from Lightspeed and Index Ventures, and senior leadership at Google DeepMind and Meta GenAI. The founding team brings backgrounds from Jane Street, Meta, Citadel Securities, Google, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Silver Lake, Berkeley AI Research (BAIR), and Stanford AI Laboratory (SAIL).

This is not a typical operations role. Technical Strategic Projects Associates work directly with the founding team on high-priority technical and operational projects supporting work with frontier AI labs. High performers can advance to SPL in approximately one year making this a fast-track alternative to traditional entry-level consulting, banking, or tech rotational programs.

What You'll Own:

• Partner with frontier AI labs to coordinate dataset generation projects, manage timelines, and ensure delivery excellence
• Build and maintain operational tools using AI (ChatGPT, Claude Code) and scripting to automate workflows, track metrics, and improve efficiency
• Manage teams of technical experts across software engineering, data science, and ML
• Create technical documentation, project briefs, and data samples for customer presentations
• Drive process improvements and build systems to scale operations as the company grows

Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS

• New grad to 2 years of experience
• Technical fluency daily use of ChatGPT, Claude Code, and comparable AI tools in real workflows
• High-intensity background: top-company technical internships or prior startup experience
• Extreme ownership and ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to learn rapidly, iterate, and thrive in ambiguous environments
• CS, ML, software engineering, or technical major preferred
• San Francisco, in-person
