SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for the development of a manufacturing process for a specific
customer part code from a customer print. This includes a machine model specific program,
supporting tooling requirements, Indexed print with specifications and critical to quality (CTQ)
quality assurance plan. Assist production with issues especially during the initial part run.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Machine Program Creation & Implementation – (DEV Process)
• Create Part Solid from Customer Print utilizing Solid Works
• Create an Auto-Desk initial part Program from the Created Solid
• Create the necessary ‘Tooling’ list required to support the machine program
• Create a Machine program utilizing the assigned machine specific ‘Post’ processor
• Assist the assigned Set-Up personnel as required ensuring a successful setup
• As requested, assist with production machine and programming issues
Production Planning Support – (Order Process Steps)
• Assist in identifying Machine Family & Model for new production indexes
• Identify any new tooling or material requirements
• Support the assigned DEV package planning stage
• As requested, help in the CTQ characteristic selection
• Complete the necessary updates to the DEV package during the Tear-Down phase

QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED):
Strong engineering background; Ideally 5 years minimum experience with the offline
Programming of CNC Milling and Turning machines; working knowledge of engineering
materials including exotics such as Titanium, and able to optimize the cutting performance and
processing of such materials; experience of various machine tool controls; basic knowledge of
math; the ability to think critically and creatively; advanced writing, programming and reading
skills and the ability to communicate with others effectively.

EDUCATION:
No specific formal education requirements necessary, specific technical certifications helpful
especially with Solid Works and Auto-Desk.
