This is a newly created position to expand product lines with our client who are dynamic international specialty chemical producers. With multiple domestic and international facilities in the United States, the United Kingdom, India, and China; this company produces a variety of products including polymer and pharmaceutical additives. This role will focus on scale-up work at a 200-person production site that has a pilot plant on site and a staff of research chemists that support all company sites, some of which also have pilot plants. 50% of this persons role will be scaling up brand new products from lab to pilot plant and full-scale production, with the other 50% being optimization of worldwide plant processes at the pilot plant. Though since this position is newly created, there is a lot of room to individually tailor this role. Both pieces will include heat and mass balances, DOE, pilot-full scale trials, writing SOPs, process simulation, retrofitting existing equipment and design through installation of new equipment. Travel is targeted at 20%. This site is staffed with production engineers, central process engineers and project engineers. A generous relocation package is provided.
