The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate includes the following:
- Managing the fabrication of metal products
- Being "hands on" on the shop floor
- Planning / scheduling manufacturing employees, equipment and materials
- Participating in developing and implementing plans to increase production output by 100% via additions and improvements
- Overseeing quality, health, safety, performance, and behavior
- Maximizing productivity, quality, and safety by updating production methods
- Estimating and controlling costs / budgets.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Four or more years of "hands on" management experience with metal fabrication
- A steady work history that is free of gaps in employment
- Four or more years of responsibility for employees, work production, quality, process changes, and training
- A four year degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or Production (or additional experience in lieu of a degree)
- Ability to determine orders for materials required in the fabrication process
- Production processes and techniques knowledge and experience
- Formal quality program implementation knowledge
- Ability to spend significant time on the shop floor
