Experience in a CNC Job Shop Environment
Five years or more CAM experience performing CNC Programming
Fixture design and related duties in a low to mid-volume, close tolerance, machining environment.
Works with vendors and manufacturers to optimize cutting technology including tools, tool coatings, tool materials, and lubricants.
Ability to support the Tooling department in the design and development of custom tooling and fixtures.
Initiates tooling, process or design changes to improve product performance, quality or manufacturing cost.
Create solid models for Manufacturing.
Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability.
Projects may span the spectrum from project launch to initial start-up through mature production.
Demonstrates "Hands-on" techniques and a willingness to cooperatively work with machine operators, supervisors and leads to solve production problems.
Supports manufacturing cost-estimating activities.
Reviews customer specifications and recommends changes to improve manufacturability as required.
Acts as project leader on routine process or machine development efforts as required.
Associate Degree in CNC Programming or related technical degree.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
