Desktop Support Analyst
Piqua, Ohio

Due to an internal promotion, non-automotive manufacturer is seeking a Desktop Support Analyst to join their IT team.  As the Desktop Support Analyst, you will report to the Manager of IT and work within a team environment.  Daily activities will include, but not be limited to:
 
·         Provide day-to-day technical support to employees for internal desktop/laptop systems software, hardware and peripherals
·         Set up and configure new systems, new applications and upgrades
·         Document procedures, standards, best practices configurations, settings, installation sequences and back-out instructions
·         Assist in troubleshooting wireless networks and routers
·         Recommend hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades
·         Support and improve IT policies
·         Other duties as directed by management
 
This is a hands-on position that requires qualified candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 20% of their day.  Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment, communicating at all levels, taking initiatives of projects and being creative in the continuous improvement process. REQUIREMENTS for the Desktop Support Analyst:
1. Minimum of an Associate’s degree with at least one year of work experience in a similar Desktop Support Analyst position OR a Bachelor's degree in an IT-related concentration 
2. Exposure to manufacturing and ERP systems 
3. The ability to troubleshoot and configure PCs and laptops
4. Experience with infrastructure support
5. Basic understanding of wireless networks, routers, switches and ports
6. Microsoft Office

Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. SQL
2. Experience with barcoding systems 
3. Programming 
4. Related certifications

Candidates are preferred to be local to the Piqua, Ohio area.  There is not a relocation package available at this time.
