The Plant HR Manager will work onsite at manufacturing locations north of Pittsburgh, PA to provide all facets of HR management as a strategic partner with the extended Plant Senior Leadership Team. This role will be critical in working across union and non-union heavy industrial machine manufacturing plants to proactively identify and execute organizational priorities and drive culture change. Hiring talent with continued drive to grow their career with strong organizational development and employee engagement strengths to drive a manufacturing centric business at the plant level. HR experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Serve as active business partner for multiple operating entities. Provide guidance and support for full suite of HR functions, including talent management, performance management, organizational change, policy and process implementation and facilitating team performance
- Partner with business management to develop appropriate human resource plans in support of key business needs in a dynamic environment and develop / implement appropriate change management plans as required. Including recruiting, selection, as well as restructuring, and reduction of the workforce as needed
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence in areas of organizational talent & strategy, compensation & benefits, HR Operations, and employment counsel to ensure alignment and effectiveness
- Oversee labor relations for the sites. Ensure alignment with Supply Chain and broader labor relations strategy
- Serve as proxy for the Global Supply Chain HR Leader; drive enterprise-wide initiatives and engage with senior leadership team to further HR and organizational objectives.
- Provide coaching, advice, council, and support for Leadership, managers, employees and peers
- Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- 3-5 years of experience in a HR Management role
- Prior HR Business partnership experience in a manufacturing environment
