Our manufacturing client in Jasper, IN is looking to hire a Human Resources Generalist to their Night Shift. The Human Resources Generalist will support the 3rd shift operations and is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration employee relations training performance management onboarding policy implementation recruitment/employment affirmative action and employment law compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Know the business; execute HR strategies and actions that result in tangible results.
- Maintain & analyze HR KPIs to develop actions and drive business improvement.
- Develop and execute processes and strategies that attract train and retain employees to support the organization's short and long term business needs.
- Work with associates to effectively solve employee relations issues and concerns.
- Monitor and foster talent/competency development; coach create specific/individual plans conduct training and monitor effectiveness.
- Support reward systems that drive organizational goals.
- Provide superior HR service delivery (timely accurate efficient and responsive).
- Assist in delivery of HR process and systems training.
- Support the implementation and ongoing administration of compensation and benefit programs.
- Serve as advisor on employment law government regulations and company policies.
- Manages Conflict; handle conflict situations effectively with a minimum of noise.
- Communicate effectively; develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
- Instills trust; gains the confidence and trust of others through honesty integrity and authenticity.
- Situational Adaptability; adapt approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.
- Ensures accountability; holds self and others accountable to meet commitments.
- Collaboration; works cooperatively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.
Job Qualifications:
- 3-5 years in a generalist function.
- Experience working in a manufacturing organization.
- BS degree in Human Resources or Business
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification desirable
- Ability to work overnights on 3rd shift.
