HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST IMPACT:
- Human Resources Generalist administers human resources policies and procedures.
- Collects and maintains HR data related to compensation, benefits, training, recruitment, etc. to help make recommendations for improvement.
- Provides support for all human resources related activities.
HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST DETAILS:
- Handles all aspects of FMLA reporting, recording and employee communication.
- Responsible for recruiting all personnel for Cimarron Plant.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems;
- Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
- Respond to human resources-related inquiries at Cimarron Plant.
- Assist with payroll processing for Cimarron Plant.
- Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
- Administer Training & Development for Cimarron Plant.
- Develop and maintain talent management processes.
- Monitor employee morale and company culture.
- Collaborate with the human resources team to develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Maintain employee personnel records.
- Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.
- Monitors unemployment claims and assists affected departments with appeals, as necessary;
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, including staffing from temporary agencies;
- Creates and places advertisements with various media outlets;
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars, as requested;
- Maintains the company’s employee directory;
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and the services provided;
- Stays current on recent federal, state and case law changes and monitors labor law updates and newsletters for changes that affect Human Resources;
- Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
- Maintain employee personnel records.
- Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.
- Handles grievances within departments;
- Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.
HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST BACKGROUND:
- Bachelor's degree in the Human Resources and Organizational Development discipline is preferred;
- Five (5) years of Human Resources generalist experience required in a manufacturing environment.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
